ARCHITECTURAL PLANNER
Target Salary: $120 -140K
Location: Washington, DC
Seeking a motivated Architectural Master Planner?with a degree in Architecture?and experience in Project Master Planning to join our team on Federal government projects in the Washington, DC metro area. Candidates will act as a Master Planner as well as collaborate and assist client staff to provide conceptual drawings, project executions plans, data, and generate reports, as a representative for the client on multiple projects.
Responsibilities:
Master Planner will be a part of a team of professionals and act as the Owner's Representative role on these programs from planning through design. Master Planner will be required to learn and integrate our company's best practices related to project delivery, budget, schedule, quality, and operations in the museum environment. Master Planner will act as an advisor/liaison with the client (user groups, planning, design team, contractors, and facility engineering representatives). A summary of the major tasks is outlined below.

Conceptual Design Development: Creating initial design concepts for the masterplan, considering factors like building massing, circulation patterns, green spaces, and sustainability strategies.?

Site Analysis and Data Collection: Conducting thorough site assessments, including topographic surveys, environmental studies, zoning regulations, and community needs analysis to inform design decisions.?
Qualifications:

Strong visual communication abilities, including sketching, rendering, and creating compelling design presentations?

Working knowledge of engineering services, building codes, budgeting, and scheduling to lead to the project's success.
