Position Summary
Salary: $90,000 to $110,000
Seeking motivated Construction Manager to join our team at a VA Hospital in Gainesville, FL. The Construction Administrator will report to the Program Manager as well as collaborate and assist VA client staff to provide data, and generate reports, as a representative for the client on major construction projects.

- Are comfortable analyzing financial, schedule, and compliance data to support program-level decisions
- Can operate independently while collaborating effectively with program leadership, clients, and contractors
- Leadership: Must possess the skillset and competence to work with and manage personnel of diverse skillsets.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides project and/or construction management consultation services of a single major program or project or multiple projects.
- Provides consultation in regard to business, technical and personnel management involving multi-disciplinary and diverse functional activities.
- Is responsible for the overall management, in terms of technical quality, cost and schedule.
- Maintains daily progress reports and inspection reports.
- Supports the inspection and quality assurance team assigned to projects to ensure timely and effective project oversight.
Education & Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred; equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will be considered
- A minimum of 10 years of construction work experience may substitute for a college degree if it demonstrates the necessary competency.
Certifications
- OSHA 30: Required
- CCM, PMP, PE, or equivalent construction management credentials Preferred
Experience
- Minimum of 7years of experience in management of facility construction projects including supervision of engineering, design, and construction, schedule control, cost management, and program budgeting, and overall project management activities.
- Professional experience should include the ability to read and interpret construction documents, as well as communicate effectively with construction team members
- Experience supporting regulated environments (federal, healthcare, or institutional) is highly desirable
- Candidates may be asked to provide examples or documentation of completed projects demonstrating relevant experience
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Full-time onsite work at an active construction site and office environment
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use standard office equipment
