Salary Range: $95,000 - $115,000

CONSTRUCTION MANAGER - HOSPITALITY PROGRAM

We are seeking a motivated Construction Manager (CM) with construction project technical education and experience to join us on a Hotel Renovation Project in Houston, TX. Candidates will be the on-site lead and will report to an Executive as well as collaborate and assist client staff to provide data, and generate reports, as a representative for the client on this assignment.

CM will serve as the Owner's Representative on-site for this project and manage it through the construction and closeout phases. CM will be required to learn and integrate our company's best practices related to project delivery, budget, schedule, quality, and operations in the hospitality environment. CM will act as an advisor/liaison with the client (user groups, design team, and contractors). A summary of the major tasks are listed below:

1. Establishing temporary field offices on the project site
2. Monitoring project financial data and budgetary cost accounting
3. Construction scheduling analysis and phasing support
4. Progress Meetings
5. Issue resolution
6. Managing Testing and Inspection Services
7. Quality Assurance inspections and report
8. Performing additional construction-related services
9. Claims analysis and resolution services

Required Qualifications (Skills, Experience, etc.):

License: None required

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Engineering from an accredited University.

• Experience: 5 years of experience in both design and construction with a focus on hotel renovation projects.
• Knowledge: Able to quickly understand and master

  • Requirements of local and state jurisdictions in relation to the Project.

  • Construction Contract Documents including Front End and Technical Specifications and Drawings to readily understand and assess the requirements.

  • Working knowledge of engineering services, building codes, budgeting, and scheduling to lead to the project's success.

  • Working knowledge of MEP/F systems, building exterior skin/waterproofing, selective demo and abatement, elevator modernization, etc..

  • Working knowledge of building activation, FFE, equipment, and building activation/transition to operations.

• Leadership: Must possess the ability to collaborate and integrate with other professionals.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with High rise buildings
• Experience with renovating Curtain Walls
• Experience with Hospitality
• Experience with Cost Estimation of MEP systems.
• Preferred licenses and certificates include - PE, AIA, CCM, PMP, or other inspector certifications
