Senior Project Manager

Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000

Project Duration: 24 months

Project Location: Remote but Washington, DC preferred. Travel may be required for one week per month.

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER.- HOSPITALITY PROGRAMS

We are seeking a motivated Sr. Project Manager (SPM) to provide leadership, quality assurance, and construction management expertise. Additionally, they will provide decisive direction in regard to business, technical, and personnel management involving multi-disciplinary and diverse functional activities. Sr. Project Manager will be required to learn, teach, and implement industry, client, and internal company best practices related to project delivery, budget, schedule, quality, and operations for these hospitality projects.

Responsibilities:

SPM will serve as the Owner's Representative for this project and manage it through the design and construction, and closeout phases. SPM will be required to learn and integrate our company's best practices related to project delivery, budget, schedule, quality, and operations in the hospitality environment. SPM will act as an advisor/liaison with the client (user groups, design team, and contractors).

SPM will require experience leading and mentoring a team of professionals and experience as an advisor/liaison with the client (user groups, design team, contractors, and facility engineering representatives).

Required Qualifications (Skills, Experience, etc.):

License: None required

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Engineering from an accredited University.

  • Experience: 10 years of experience in design and construction. Experience with MEP systems, building exterior skin, and full life-cycle project management is required. Experience with cost estimating, scheduling, and hotel/hospitality projects is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge: Able to quickly understand and master
    • Requirements of local and state jurisdictions in relation to the Project.

    • Construction Contract Documents including Front End and Technical Specifications and Drawings to readily understand and assess the requirements.

    • Working knowledge of engineering services, building codes, budgeting, and scheduling to lead to the project's success.

    • Working knowledge of MEP/F systems, building exterior skin/waterproofing, selective demo and abatement, elevator modernization, etc..

    • Working knowledge of building activation, FFE, equipment, and building activation/transition to operations.

  • Leadership: Must possess the ability to lead multiple teams and collaborate and integrate with other design, construction, and Ownership professionals. Understanding the role of an Owner's Rep as an Advisor and how to influence the Owners, Architects, and Contractors in various project delivery models.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with High rise buildings
  • Experience with Historic/Adaptive Reuse projects.
  • Experience with Hospitality
  • Experience with Cost Estimation, MS Project, and MEP systems.
